The traditional way. Our style. Our way.

My Organizer~

About time I get down to using my organizer. I filled it up for reasons that I have to gear up on materials so I can go on and on and on drawing nonstop.... but I guess I did. STOP. Somewhere.

But seeing my stuff seems to have me itching to use them again. I was doodling just this afternoon but had to put them away when rush hour came. Not a good idea to draw within full view of customers, especially when you work in a snack bar. Wet hands and sticky fingers all over the counter, which means soggy paper and icky pencils coz they just haaaavvve to touch everything you're using.

Ugh.

Drawing time in my workplace is short and limited. There's plenty of tables and chairs, but its too much hassle to have to grab everything when people start coming in.

So, I use the counter table, standing. But that also has its difficulties as its where people actually order for their food. And they think you're sketch pad is the order list. They don't care nor do they wonder why its a 9" x 12" bundled thick paper in spring binding with hard cover, too 'classy' to be used for jotting down their orders. Nor do they bother to notice why there's a head and a face in the center of said paper.

Yep, drawing in my workplace is troublesome....

I wonder what they'll say when I mention how much a sketch pad costs. Yes, there are cheap ones, but not in their estimation. Oslo paper is already costly in their experience. So what more for sketch paper?

Drawing for 2013

Been on hiatus on a long time from drawing anything. Had to draw something during our sketch day with the gang last Sunday.

I made a mess with the inkwork since I was seeing double. At least I made sense out of the lines only they're waaaay crooked and jagged in several parts.

Was really surprised to see unexpected people arriving (non-members) of our group. We made a total of 17 occupying the entire front area of McDonalds.

Start with the basics

SlackerLord messing around with the camera and took pictures of just about anything, even my case.

The chibi version of what I drew
The last image was doodled at the bottom of the paper as we took turns talking about what we drew. By the time the cycle was done, I was already darkening the lines.

Project Hero Characters

I just came to realize, after briefly browsing through the older blog posts that I haven't posted anything about a year-old pending project of our group, NIKO.

Its still under discussion, the characters created and molded to fit, and the story underway.

Here are mine and SlackerLord's characters:

(click on image for bigger view)
This was our short references of our submitted characters, Rica and Mari Guillermo. Created for the sole purpose for Project Hero, now titled as "The Descendants".

The main theme is the usual 'good vs. evil' with a Filipino twist. Characters must be of Filipino descent, same with abilities, backgrounds and the main setting. Hence, our Bruho brothers (yes, they're witches in a sense).

NIKO members were asked to give ONE character only if they wanted to be part of the project. So far, 14 submitted. Back then, the profiles were accepted without comment, but now that the story is underway, the available profiles in hand are being subjected to strict screening. We're still in the process of deciding whether to drop or include some of the characters as we just went over the profiles a few days ago and realized that more than half of the submitted characters didn't adhere to the theme/requirements. Will reserve comment on some of them for now.^^;

After a year, the reason why the others are gunning to give PH a go was because of SlackerLord. She just had to do these:

3D generated images of the Bruho Brothers by SlackerLord using IMVU.

I'll be revising Rica and Mari basing on these 3D images. XD
