The traditional way. Our style. Our way.

Trad to Digi

It started off in pencil, couldn't help adding the lines to her sleeves~

The sequential conversion into digital lineart was done by sis (let's call her SlackerLord now^^). I would have done it but she insisted on finishing as she had other ideas with it as can be seen above.

Her 'look' was something to humor myself, and eventually used for a one page comic strip as a sort of mascot. There was a comic strip contest in ICI which SlackerLord thought we'd give a try in joining. The ones who win get to see their strips published within one of the issues. We were informed beforehand if we did get chosen, as we were immediately contacted just before the issue was published..... unfortunately, we never did get to see our strip in the release but we were told it would be there.

Anyway, the idea for her look was, as I said 'something to humor myself', but it came out as a way of representing me and my sister. We both look alike anyway, being twins and all-- long curly hair, the blackness depicts our often times dark humor; brooding eyes, as we tend to look bored and mean when deep in thoughts; and the unsmiling face, we smile only when the occasion warrants it. XD

The black, white and gray concept of the overall look, represents our style of work. Also means how we really suck at coloring. LOL.

We may have missed the chance to see a work of ours, the best or not, published in other issues aside from ours, but we hope to keep improving on that so anyone else won't be so quick to ignore our works in future.

For a glimpse of the comic strip, here it is:

We probably missed the humor we were aiming at. The incident depicted actually happened in real life, during ICI's very own official launching where we were one of the few sellers present. Try talking to a buyer with the band just ten steps away from your booth and the sound system directly across from your display~

I was the one who suggested to a friend she go upstage and have the band members sign their autographs, she guffawed when I handed her a Death Note. XD
